Frank Vélez

Councilman | Candidate for Assembly

Frank Vélez is a Councilman and lifelong resident of Belleville.

A special needs advocate & dedicated public servant, he believes in quality public service. Prior to his election to the Council, Frank served on the Belleville Board of Education where he fought for special needs families, students, parents, and staff.

This passion for service brought Frank to the federal level, where he served as an aid to former Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr.

As Councilman, Frank is working to strengthen recreation for children, families and seniors, stabilize taxes, invest in local business and deliver for everyday residents.

Councilman Vélez has always been a consistent and accessible public servant, prioritizing the needs of families of all backgrounds and affiliations as an elected official.

Driven by a desire to serve, Frank Vélez believes that when we all work together, New Jersey can be a better place for all of us.

Brittany Claybrooks

Former Councilwoman | Candidate for assembly

Brittany D. Claybrooks is a former Councilwoman of East Orange.

She has also served as the Director of the Division of Planning for the City of Plainfield and the North Jersey Political Director for Congressman Andy Kim in his recent Senate Race.

Brittany is an urban planning professional, having received her Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Development from New York University

She has dedicated her career to public service and working in various government and public service institutions including the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice; The Florida of Department Health; the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi; and Young Invincibles.

Ultimately, Brittany is guided by her faith and upbringing in urban America.
